380mm tall x 330mm wide, ornately made Gong, brass surround with Copper coated brass striking plate, outer decoration incorporates an figure of a Boar War Soldier holding his rifle, the Gong has detailed engraving of 2 Soldiers running up a hill, with flora in foreground, the wooden handle striker has a later model bullet shell for the handle, the surround has a Registered Number - 360910- dates to approx 1902, A great early item of Military history, Very Good 8.5/10
