Circa 1937, New Zealand MADE Palometer Forecourt Petrol Pump, Made BY Pallo Engineering Ltd Wellington, Model MD5000, Pallo was an Engineering firm established by Karl Pallo (1896-1986) in Wellington. In January 1935 starting producing petrol pumps, munitions (during World War 2) and later washing machines. In 1962 Karl Pallo sold his business to Sunbeam New Zealand Pump has had some restoration, new face dials, glass & seals, the globe holder is a later copy, the internal mechanism has some partial restoration, new noozle holder and hand adjuster. A rare early NZ made pump, Very Good 8/10
