230mm wide by 140mm tall, light grey coloured, high gloss glazed Elephant made and marked by Temuka Pottery, A very rare early (circa 1940’s) item from this factory, missing his tusks (one broken off) a pair of bisque trunks as possible replacements, a part of his tail is broken (missing), the toes on front foot have been broken and restuck, Good 7/10
