An item of history, a part of a Sturtevant Pneumatic Dispatch Tube System, approx 600mm long by 200mm wide, made from brass, has makers name to sides Sturvevant, lever action to insert the aluminium tube (which held the cash) has a leather flap. The mechanism sent pods of cash from floor to floor. Found in New Plymouth and believed to have been used by the iconic department store CC Ward in Devon Street East, they started in 1892 and closed 100 years later, the building was demolished in 2024 In good as found condition, 8/10
